| | Our Rating: Our Comments: Warm Spring Ave is a great street. Geothermal serves both sides of the street and many homes have pools that take advantage of it. I believe the fee is annual and not more than $500. One downside is the traffic. The street can be busy. This home is on the south side of the street and on a corner. What's important about this corner is the fact that you CANNOT park in front of this house or on the side. I find this fact a big issue. Imagine this; you call a bunch of friends to come over and enjoy the pool. The problem comes when they have no where to park other than in front of the neighbors houses. Back to the house... there's been a bunch of updating inside -specifically the kitchen and master bath. Looks great. There are two stairs leading up and one stair set leading down. The master is upstairs. There are some little rooms and nooks that don't make much sense to me. The basement is finished, but does have the old house funk -exposed pipes etc. Heading out the back door direct from the kitchen, there's a nice patio area and stairs leading down to the driveway and garage. below the garage is a pool room that has a kitchen setting in it. Inside this area, it's very humid and dank. Since there's green moss growing on the bricks outside, I guess there's some water issue going on. After search, I realize there's a canal that runs under this building and resurfaces on at the neighbors house. This seems like it's been this way for decades, but I think its an issue that needs to be addressed. The pool... not sure what condition its in since its winter and the cover is some superstructure gone bad. Since this home was a bank buy and now owned by an LLC trying to find a profit, my bet is the bank that foreclosed hired a crazy carpenter to work up a temp pool cover. Heading back up to the house and inspect the drive and garage, I see more issues. The drive is a mess of broken concrete and sinking sections. just$$$$ and time to fix. Conclusion: So for nearly $800K, this place is overpriced related to the work required and the fact that you can't park in front of it. Reviewed: 2010-01-08 14:55:31 by Heinrich Wiebe |
