The number of short sale and REO (real estate owned) property for sale is remaining stable - neither growing or contracting by their volume for sale. This is good news --for now. Here's why.

Boise City Water Park - River Fun to come
Written by Heinrich Wiebe

UPDATE FROM BOISE CITY 3/17/2009 -

Heinrich,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Boise River Recreation Park. The City is in the process of finalizing design and engineering for phase I and is beginning the permit process. A non profit citizen group, called the Friends of Parks, are in the process of raising $1.2 million dollars for the first phase of construction.
If design, engineering, permits and fund raising go well, I anticipate construction to begin on the park this October. A portion of the park could be ready for use next spring.
Sincerely,
Tom.

Walk to the river and get some... fun that is. Just imagine a water park for kayaking.

Boise City has a full write up on this. I'm checking in to see how far away the project is... funding seems to be an issue these days for some reason.

Written by Heinrich Wiebe
Friday, 09 January 2009 07:30

In the pursuit to find investment deals to buy low and sell high, I've been reviewing those agents that have been listing REO (real estate owned) or bank owned property. These are properties that the bank took back via the foreclosure process and then place back out on the market for sale. Would you believe that they are selling at an average of 30% lower than the assessed value?
